- Make prayer a priority in every service or meeting.
- Make and multiply disciples of Jesus Christ.
- Communicate, communicate, communicate.
- Review and revise church by-laws and policies on a regular basis.
- Develop and implement continual leadership training for all leaders and ministries.
- Conduct annual reviews of staff performance, and include recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct annual financial stewardship audits or reviews and report the results to the membership.
- Identify social and cultural trends and realities that affect the church.
- Develop and use job or ministry descriptions for all church and ministry leaders.
- Do annual or semiannual church health checkups.
